Academic Foundations and Field Training

Every member of Jurassic Journal holds a graduate degree in paleontology, geology, or a closely related earth science. Our training includes structured coursework in vertebrate anatomy, sedimentology, and taphonomy, supplemented by intensive field schools and supervised digs. We have participated in expeditions organized by universities and natural history museums, where we practiced mapping, excavation, and specimen handling under the guidance of senior researchers. This combination of classroom theory and hands-on fieldwork ensures that our approach is grounded in established scientific practices.

Research Methodology and Ethical Standards

At Jurassic Journal, we document every step of our research pipeline to maintain transparency. Our methods include stratigraphic logging, GPS mapping of fossil sites, and standardized collection protocols. All specimens are cataloged and stored in climate-controlled facilities. We follow the ethical guidelines set by professional paleontological associations, including proper permitting and repatriation practices. Data and interpretations are presented as contributions to ongoing scientific discourse, not as definitive conclusions.
